Reproductive Ageing
The ovarian reserve decreases as you get older. However, the timing varies considerably between individual women. While some women can still get pregnant and have children relatively easily in their mid-forties, this is difficult or even impossible for other women in their early thirties. After all, around one in 20 women experience the menopause (the final cessation of ovulation and menstrual bleeding) before their 45th birthday, and pregnancies are hardly possible years before that.
I have been very intensively involved with the important topic of so-called "reproductive ageing" for many years and I can offer you an individual and independent consultation on symptoms of progressive reproductive ageing as well as on possible examinations to assess your personal ovarian reserve and the resulting chances of pregnancy on a very individual basis. I have often found that such a consultation can help to harmonise individual life and family planning with your own biological circumstances.
